Shipping information for tractors, engines, spare parts, and heavy equipment.
Central Tractors ships tractors, used tractors, tractor equipment, truck engines, and truck spare parts through approved transport and courier partners. This policy explains how orders are processed, how shipping is arranged, expected delivery handling, and customer responsibilities. Shipping costs, availability, and any applicable surcharges are confirmed before an order is completed or dispatched.
Shipping coverage
Central Tractors primarily ships within South Africa. Delivery availability depends on item size, destination, road access, and carrier capacity. For large freight, delivery may be to a depot, collection point, or another practical receiving location agreed before dispatch.
International shipping may be offered for selected parts by special request. Duties, taxes, customs clearance, and import requirements remain the customer?s responsibility unless agreed otherwise in writing before shipment.
Order processing and dispatch
Orders are prepared for dispatch after payment confirmation or after approved account arrangements for eligible business customers. Dispatch timing depends on product type, stock location, packing requirements, and carrier scheduling.
- Tractors and used tractors may require inspection, preparation, and loading coordination.
- Truck engines, gearboxes, and heavy components may require crating, palletizing, or protective packing.
- Small spare parts and tractor equipment may dispatch faster when stock is immediately available.
Dispatch dates are estimates and can change because of weather, carrier schedules, road closures, peak periods, or documentation requirements.
Shipping methods
- Courier service for small spare parts
- Freight transport for engines, gearboxes, attachments, and heavy parts
- Vehicle transport for tractors and used tractors

Carrier selection is based on destination, item dimensions, and safe handling needs.

Shipping charges are disclosed before order completion or dispatch. Additional carrier fees caused by incorrect delivery details, restricted access, missed delivery attempts, or address changes after dispatch may be charged to the customer.
Delivery timeframes
Delivery timeframes depend on destination and carrier schedules. Any delivery window shown during quoting or ordering is an estimate and not a guaranteed delivery date.
- Remote-area routes and limited carrier runs
- Heavy-freight scheduling and loading availability
- Public holidays and high-volume shipping periods
- Weather, road conditions, or transport disruption
Delivery requirements and customer responsibilities
Customers must ensure the delivery location is safe and accessible for the vehicle assigned by the carrier. Unloading support is not included unless confirmed in writing before dispatch.
- Provide accurate address details, contact number, and delivery instructions
- Ensure someone is available to receive and sign for delivery where required
- Arrange suitable unloading equipment for heavy items when needed
- Check access for large trucks, including gate width, turning space, and surface conditions
Inspection on delivery
Deliveries should be inspected as soon as they arrive and, where possible, before signing. Check packaging, pallets, crates, and the goods themselves for visible damage, missing items, or incorrect quantities.
- Note visible damage on the delivery document
- Take clear photos of the packaging and the affected item
- Keep packaging and delivery paperwork for claim support
- Contact Central Tractors as soon as possible if there is a problem
Damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments
Central Tractors will assist with shipping issues when notified promptly. Claims may require photos, retained packaging, and the delivery note.
- Visible freight damage: report immediately, preferably on the day of delivery
- Concealed damage: report within 48 hours of delivery
- Missing or incorrect items: report within 48 hours of delivery
Packaging and protection
- Small parts may ship in sealed cartons
- Heavy parts and gearboxes may ship on pallets
- Truck engines may ship crated or secured for transport
- Tractors may be moved by suitable vehicle carriers and secured for safe transport
Any packaging, pallet, or crating fees are disclosed before the order is finalized or dispatched.
Insurance, collection, and delivery changes
Insurance options may be available depending on the carrier and shipment value. Insurance is recommended for high-value freight such as tractors, engines, and gearboxes. If insurance is declined, liability may be limited to the carrier?s standard terms.
Collection appointments must be scheduled in advance. Address changes after dispatch may cause delays or extra carrier charges. Failed deliveries caused by incorrect details, inaccessible sites, or unavailable receivers may result in redelivery or return-freight costs.
